Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, who is the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Continental Overseer; West Coast and Central Africa has been appointed as the new Pro-Chancellor of the Redeemer’s University by RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.
Odeyemi, who wears multiple caps and hold several positions of responsibilities within the global hierarchy of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, is also the Assistant General Overseer (Education and Training) and the Vice President (Evangelism) for Christ Redeemer’s Ministries, an arm of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
He takes over from Pastor Tokunbo Adesanya as the new Pro-chancellor whose tenure expired on 15th August 2021
He has multiple postgraduate degrees in Educational Administration, Business Administration, and Christian Leadership. Pastor Odeyemi is a highly sought-after speaker, coach, and mentor in the area of leadership development and capacity building around the world.
He had served as a member of the Governing Council of the university since 2013 before his appointment.
Pastor E.A. Adeboye while speaking at the inauguration of the Governing Council, tasked them to use their experience and influence to bring meaningful development to the university.
He stated that the ultimate goal is for every hand to be on the deck until the institution becomes the best among the best.
The General Overseer reiterated that Redeemer’s University was God’s idea not his and was not established to be ordinary. Though her beginning might be small, the University would be very great.
